Implementation of patch and release management using orcharhino (GER)
In IT infrastructures, one often finds a non-homogeneous IT landscape. The example of using different operating systems with RedHat and Ubuntu systems in IT quickly makes this clear. In this talk we would like to share our experiences on how orcharhino supported us in the implementation of a patch and release management and how we could achieve a higher level of quality in vulnerability detection and for updating the operating systems.
As a long-time, experienced Computacenter employee, Mathias Frink is involved in the implementation and configuration of Big Data platforms at customer sites. Additionally, his focus is on the development and implementation of data ingest, transformation processes and automation in the Big Data environment (Apache NiFi, Hortonworks Data Flow, Pentaho Data Integration). He also takes on the role of technical project manager in multidisciplinary project situations and is responsible, for example, for setting up Big Data and container platforms at customer sites.
As an IT Specialist, Michael Hofmann has experience in the technology focus areas Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu), Windows Server, Public Cloud (Microsoft Azure), Automation (Ansible) and Scripting (Powershell, Bash). In the automated deployment of Linux systems, his focus has been on deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code principles with common source code management systems (Github, Gitlab). Consistently high quality documentation of standard operating procedures and technical installation and configuration documents is also part of its portfolio, in addition to technical implementation.
